Both are QD-OLEDs with Samsung's vivid color and perfect blacks. The S95F adds a matte anti-glare screen, more brightness, and a One Connect box. Here's when that's worth paying for.

The short answer

For a bright room, the Samsung S95F. Its matte screen all but eliminates glare, it's brighter (especially in everyday content), and it supports 165Hz.

For a dim room or a tighter budget, the Samsung S90F (about $1,500 at 65"). You get the same QD-OLED color and perfect blacks for considerably less.

What the S95F adds

The case for the S90F

In a dim or dark room, the S90F gives you the same QD-OLED color and perfect blacks for a lot less money. Its glossy screen also keeps blacks a touch deeper than the S95F's matte coating, which can make blacks look slightly gray when a room is very bright. If you watch mostly at night, the S90F is the smarter buy.

Check the S90F model number

In the US, only the 55-, 65-, and 77-inch S90F use QD-OLED panels (model numbers ending in FXZA). The 42-, 48-, and 83-inch sizes use a different WOLED panel (ending in EXZA).

What about the S90H and S95H?

Samsung's 2026 S90H and S95H replace these models. The S95H is now RTINGS' best 55-inch TV. They're better but cost more, so the S90F and S95F remain strong values while they're discounted. Comparing against LG? See LG C5 vs Samsung S90F and LG G5 vs Samsung S95F.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Samsung S95F worth it over the S90F?
If your TV faces windows or lamps, yes. The S95F's matte anti-reflective screen essentially eliminates glare, and it's brighter, especially in SDR. In a dim or dark room, the S90F gives you the same QD-OLED color and perfect blacks for less money.
What is the One Connect box on the Samsung S95F?
It's a separate box where all your HDMI and other cables plug in, with a single thin cable running to the TV. It makes wall mounting much cleaner and lets you hide your devices away from the TV.
Do the Samsung S90F and S95F support Dolby Vision?
No. Neither Samsung TV supports Dolby Vision. Both support HDR10+, HDR10, and HLG.
