Mini LED TVs get far brighter than OLEDs, can't burn in, and cost less at big screen sizes. These are the best Mini LED TVs you can buy new on Amazon, picked from lab test results.

The short answer

The best Mini LED TV for most people is the Hisense U7SG (about $1,000 for 65 inches): very bright, deep blacks, a matte anti-glare screen, and four HDMI 2.1 ports.

For movies, the Sony BRAVIA 9 (about $2,800) has near-OLED blacks and the best processing. On a budget, the Hisense U6SF Pro (about $800 for 75 inches) is remarkably good.

Mini LED TVs use thousands of tiny LEDs behind the screen, grouped into dimming zones. They get much brighter than OLEDs, can't burn in, and cost less at big sizes. Our picks follow RTINGS' lab testing, limited to models sold new on Amazon. RTINGS' two top Mini LED picks, Sony's 2026 BRAVIA 9 II and BRAVIA 7 II, aren't sold new there right now (more on them below).

Best Mini LED TV for most people~$1,000 (65")
Hisense U7SG (65")
RTINGS' best lower mid-range Mini LED TV · 2026 model

The best Mini LED you can buy on Amazon, and a great value. Its peak brightness is very high and its colors are very good. Its matte anti-reflective screen makes it one of the best TVs for a sunny room. Local dimming delivers deep, bold blacks, and it's loaded for gaming, with four HDMI 2.1 ports, 4K at up to 165Hz, and VRR. It supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+.

Worth knowing: blacks look slightly grayer in a dark room than on the Sonys, with more light bleeding around bright spots, and its out-of-the-box accuracy is lower.

Best premium Mini LED~$2,800 (65")
Sony BRAVIA 9 (65")
RTINGS: great for mixed usage · Sony's 2024 flagship

The Mini LED for movie lovers. Its black levels approach OLED with barely any blooming, HDR highlights are amazing, and it's very accurate across the board. Sony's top-tier processing makes DVDs, Blu-rays, cable, and compressed streams look cleaner than on any Hisense or TCL.

Worth knowing: it's expensive, it struggles with direct reflections, and motion blurs in Game Mode. It has only two HDMI 2.1 ports, and one doubles as eARC. See our best Sony TVs for the full picture.

Brightest picture~$1,000 on sale (65")
Hisense U8QG (65")
RTINGS: slightly better than the U7SG on paper · 2025 model

If maximum brightness is the goal, the U8QG is considerably brighter than the U7SG, with outstanding SDR brightness. It also has a USB-C port that works as a DisplayPort input, handy for a laptop or gaming PC. On sale, it costs about the same as the U7SG.

Worth knowing: most content can't use all that extra brightness, and its glossy screen shows direct reflections. RTINGS found most people are better off with the U7SG. See Hisense U7 vs U8.

Sony picture for less~$1,100 (55") · ~$1,600 (65")
Sony BRAVIA 7
RTINGS: impressive for mixed usage · 2024 model

Sony's most affordable Mini LED with local dimming. It has very good blacks with minimal blooming, excellent HDR brightness, vibrant and accurate color, and fantastic upscaling for older content.

Worth knowing: it handles direct reflections poorly, has a narrow viewing angle, and motion blurs in Game Mode. At 65 inches, it costs more than the U7SG.

Best budget Mini LED~$800 (75")
Hisense U6SF Pro (75")
RTINGS' best budget Mini LED TV · 2026 model

A remarkably good TV for the price. Its local dimming delivers very deep, uniform blacks, and its anti-reflective coating, similar to the U7SG's, makes it a good fit for bright rooms too. It supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+, and two HDMI 2.1 ports with VRR cover a console or two.

Worth knowing: it has far fewer dimming zones than the U7SG, so you'll see more haloing around subtitles. It's also dimmer and less colorful, and it runs the Fire TV interface. Want something smaller and cheaper? The TCL QM6K is our budget 55-inch pick.

What about RGB Mini LED?

The newest Mini LEDs, like Sony's 2026 BRAVIA 9 II and BRAVIA 7 II, use separate red, green, and blue LEDs instead of white or blue ones. That makes colors much brighter and more vivid. RTINGS rates the BRAVIA 9 II as the best Mini LED TV it has tested. Neither is sold new on Amazon as we write this, so the models above are the best Mini LEDs you can buy there. We'll add them when they're available.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best Mini LED TV?
The Hisense U7SG is the best Mini LED TV for most people. It's very bright, has deep blacks and very good color, handles glare well with its matte screen, and has four HDMI 2.1 ports for gaming, for about $1,000 at 65 inches. RTINGS rates Sony's 2026 BRAVIA 9 II higher, but it isn't sold new on Amazon yet.
Is Mini LED better than OLED?
Mini LED is better for bright rooms, can't burn in, and costs less at large sizes. OLED is better in a dark room, with perfect blacks, no blooming, and wider viewing angles. Read our OLED vs QLED vs Mini LED guide for the full comparison.
What is the difference between Mini LED and QLED?
QLED refers to a quantum dot layer that improves color. Mini LED refers to the backlight: thousands of tiny LEDs grouped into dimming zones. Most Mini LED TVs are also QLEDs. The Mini LED backlight is what gives them deeper blacks and brighter highlights than basic QLEDs.
What is RGB Mini LED?
RGB Mini LED uses separate red, green, and blue LEDs in the backlight instead of white or blue ones, for brighter, more vivid colors. Sony's 2026 BRAVIA 9 II and BRAVIA 7 II use it. Neither is sold new on Amazon as we write this.
Do Mini LED TVs have blooming?
Some. Bright objects on a dark background can show a faint glow, called blooming or haloing, because each dimming zone covers several pixels. Better TVs, like the Sony BRAVIA 9, keep it to a minimum. Budget models, like the Hisense U6SF Pro, show more of it.
