The LG C5 and Samsung S90F are the two most popular mid-range OLED TVs, and they're closer than the marketing suggests. Here's where each one wins in lab testing, and which is the better buy for your room.
For most people, the LG C5 (about $1,260 at 65"). It's far brighter in everyday content, keeps blacks deep with the lights on, supports Dolby Vision, and costs about $240 less.
Choose the Samsung S90F (about $1,500) if you want the most vivid color. Its QD-OLED panel is far more colorful, and it handles reflections a little better.

These are the two most popular mid-range OLEDs of 2025, and in RTINGS' lab testing they trade blows. Both get the same mixed-usage score, and both have the perfect blacks, wide viewing angles, and instant response time that make OLED the best picture in a dark room. The differences are in brightness, color, and HDR format support.
In the US, the 55-, 65-, and 77-inch S90F use QD-OLED panels (model numbers ending in FXZA, like the QN65S90FAFXZA). The 42-, 48-, and 83-inch sizes use a WOLED panel instead (ending in EXZA), so they don't have the extra color advantage.
It's essentially a tie. Both have four HDMI 2.1 ports with 4K at up to 144Hz, VRR, and very low input lag, so they're fully ready for a PS5, an Xbox Series X, or a gaming PC. The C5's Dolby Vision gaming support is a small plus on Xbox, and the S90F is slightly brighter in HDR games. See our best TVs for PS5 for more gaming picks.
Buy the C5 if you watch with the lights on, stream a lot of Netflix or Disney+, or watch 4K Blu-rays, since its brighter everyday picture and Dolby Vision support matter more day to day than the S90F's extra color. And it costs less.
Worth knowing: it doesn't support HDR10+, and colors aren't as vivid as on a QD-OLED.

Worth knowing: no Dolby Vision, and blacks look grayish with bright room lights on.

The C6 is RTINGS' current upper mid-range pick and our best 77-inch TV for most people. The newer models are a little better but cost more right now, so the discounted C5 and S90F are excellent values while they're still in stock. Not sure an OLED is right for your room?
